Description: A small tree that grows up to 10 meters high, can be found in secondary forest at elevations of up to 3,000 meters.
Uses: The roots and leaves are used as a medicine against fever, diarrhea. Bark and leaves are a source of a black dye for dyeing handicrafts and cotton cloth.
