Other name: kandoroma (Ilk.),  Kalingag tree (Engl.), Samiling (Tag.)

Description: A small tree  up to 10 meters high.  Found throughout the Philippines, in forests at medium altitudes to 2000 meters. Listed as Vulnerable in 1998 under the IUCN Red list of threatened species.

Uses: Barks and leaves as spice and flavoring agent. Decoction of leaves used for nausea, vomiting  and hypertension.
