Other name: mabolo (P.Bis., Tag.), antinagam (Ilk.), velvet apple, Bombay ebony (Engl.) 

Uses: Bark concoction used for jaundice, vomiting and stomachache. Leaves used for diabetes. Fruits are edible and used to treat boils.  Wood is used to make posts, beams, joists, rafters window sills, small implements and scabbards.
