Description: A fast-growing, medium to large tree .. Found in primary and old secondary forest common swamp, teak forest in open places like savannah, especially on riverbanks and shady ravines or found at elevations from sea level to 1,800 meters.
Uses: Leaves and seeds can be eaten. Bark is a source of dye. Roots have medicinal properties. Wood is used for construction and furniture works.
