Description: A medium-sized tree that grows up to 30 meters high. Found in primary forests at low altitudes from northern Luzon (Cagayan) to Palawan and Mindanao. Listed as endangered under DENR DAO 2007-91.
Uses: Decoction of the bark used to treat coughs. Wood is used for temporary construction and light-material houses, logging skids, scaling sticks, and handles of agricultural implements.
